it depends on what IGP you are running. if you're using EIGRP it's usu
ally Bandwidth + Delay. for OSPF it's 100 Mbps / Bandwidth.

RIP uses hop count while BGP use what we call "attributes." BGP is a bit complex to explain so kindly refer link below. do note that BGP is an exterior gateway protocol or EGP.
