I'm curious what the difference is between the following log entries:
%IOSXE_SPA-6-UPDOWN: Interface TenGigabitEthernet0/3/0, link down due to remote fault
%IOSXE_SPA-6-UPDOWN: Interface TenGigabitEthernet0/3/0, link down due to local fault
What would be causes for remote and local faults? How are these determined?

If you are seeing these messages multiple times per second for no apparent reason, and the link is flapping, try replacing the optic. Trust me.
