Loopback Light

Really a quick question and I think I know the answer but I have to ask in order to ensure I'm diagnosing my problem correctly.  I have a CISCO SM-X-1T3/E3 module installed in a CISCO 2921 Integrated Services Router.  It was working during a July 1, 2014 test between my site and another.  Then due to bureaucratic issues that got in the way of completing this network, I pretty much ignored it until last week when the log jam broke free.  But now it doesn't work.  After much diagnosing of the path between me and the other site, I'm thinking it might be my CISCO SM-X-1T3/E3 module that is the problem.   The SDC light on my Transition Network media converter from T3/E3 to Fiber is not on (that Help Desk says its the module) and when I put the module in loopback, the LP light on the module doesn't come on.

So, my question is.  When I put this module into loopback mode, does the LP light on the module come on?   I am thinking it should come on but I'm new to this module and have never seen it on since I've never had call to put the module into a loopback mode.  I'm thinking, if the LP light does not come on when in loopback and it should, then the module needs replaced.

Thanks-

Tracy

Each fiber comes with 2 pairs of tx/rx 1 on each end, so when you connect as a loopback please make sure you connect tx/tx or rx/rx from both the end in to the fiber port and see if you see the light lit up. if not then you need to replace your module.
