NBAR Based on File Name

What cmd would I use to priortize data based on filename? For example, I have one file called HIGH.txt (30mb) and a second file called LOW.txt (30mb). Using NBAR, prority should be given to HIGH.txt before LOW.txt. Below is my command:

rotuer(config-cmap)#match protocol ?

thanks.

Hi!

This would depend on what protocol you are using to share the data files. If you are using any of the peer-to-peer applications then you can match based on that protocol and include the regular expression to match the file name. the following link gives more details for such configuration :

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_4/qos/configuration/guide/hdtnbara.html#wp1073317

So Nbar would help if you are using one of the applications like, Some of the applications that use Gnutella include:

•BearShare

•Gnewtellium

•Gnucleus

•Gtk-Gnutella

•JTella

•LimeWire

•Morpheus

•Mutella

•Phex

•Qtella

•Swapper

•XoloX

•XCache

to share the files. But if you are just using plane ftp / tftp then I dont think nbar can look into the filenames and classify.

Niranjan.
