Hi,

I have a 7200 router with a 12.2.(46a) IOS and I am trying to activate Netflow on a subinterface. From the documentation of Cisco, I should be able to do it since the ios 12.2.(14)S but the command is unavailable.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2t/12_2t15/feature/guide/ft_nfsub.html

I have tryed also to enter the command in the subinterface directly but it doesn't recognize it.

Does someone know if a issue exist about this ? Any suggestion ?

Thanks for your help,

Regards,

Xavier Delcour

Hello Xavier,

IOS images in 12.2 have different  trains like 12.2T, 12.2S and there is a main release (without any letters) and these have to be seen as different feature sets.

so your 12.2(46a) is part of main release and the feature may be missing there.

you can use feature navigator to find out an IOS release that supports.

see

http://www,cisco,com/go/fn

search by feature

you type netflow and take netflow on subinterfaces from the list

do Add and then press the  continue button on the far right

you need a valid contract to be able to download the image.

notice that there two type of IOS images for C7200 depending on the NPE model  you need to take the one suitable for your device you can check the NPE model with show version

Hope to help

Giuseppe

If you're running 12.2(46a) that's mainline IOS code train and not the same IOS code train as 12.2(14)S (or later).

Since the feature is also noted as supported in 12.2(15)T, you should find it in 12.3, or later, mainline.
