network setup---static ip/multiple wan connection

Hello. I’m trying to setup my network and I'm out of idea on what to do next. Here is brief description on my setup:

I have t1 point-to-point line going into router (Cisco 1841 router). Router is connected to port 24 of switch (Cisco catalyst 2950 24 ports). I have cable internet line going into cable modem and modem to Juniper Firewall. Firewall is connected to port 23 of switch. I have network printer connected to port 1 of switch. Port 2-22 is for computers.

I don’t know anything about configuring router/switch through console. I install Cisco network assistant and Cisco SDM to configure them.

My first question is how do I make port 1-22, especially port for printer, static IP? For example, network printer always has certain IP.

My second question is do I need addition router between cable modem and Juniper firewall?

My third question is if I want use t1 point to point line for just one program and cable line for internet, how can I achieve this? Someone helped me set the address for each device (router 192.168.138.1/switch 192.168.138.200/firewall forgot what number it was configured). He also made changes so that one program goes to t1 only and cable internet for rest.

Right now, my t1 is down and cable internet up. Since my cable internet is up, if all my setting is correct, shouldn’t I be able to browse web? For some reason, I can’t browse internet web. So something is wrong.

I’m very new to configuring router and switch. Don’t have any knowledge about configuring through console. If anyone can help me set this up using Cisco network assistance or Cisco SDM, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

1st answer) The static IPs have to be configured on the devices themselves, not on the switch. Along with the IP address, you should also configure a default gateway.

2nd answer) You shouldn't need an additional router between the FW and the cable modem.

3rd answer) You could configure the address of the 1841 (192.168.138.1) as the default gateway on all the PCs and have the 1841 redirect them to the FW if traffic is destined to the Internet.

It looks like your physical topology is correct. You just need to check your logical configuration to make sure whether you should be able to browse the web or not.
