Security plan assignment for case study.

I'm throwing this question out there for an assignment I need to complete. I am to write a security plan for a ficticious company with dual T3s between their two sites (one housing a NOC facility). My question is what application could be supported on a T3? For example, would someone be able to work in Word or Excel from one facility to the other across the T3 or is a T3 really designed to support replication of data? I know the bandwidth numbers of different communication systems but am often struggling to translate what that means in the "real world" or what can be supported.

If you look here :

You will see the different levels:

- T1

- T2

- T3

You will also see the bandwidth

With a T3 you can take over a PC with remote desktop programs and use Word or Excel somewhere else.

You can also use citrix to publish the application and do that ...

Als keep in mind that the line is not fully used .... the more bandwidth is used the less capacity is left the slower the connection ...
