In my company we use the SQL Database, now I want to give priority to the SQL traffic on my router on the wan link.

Right now many applications on the Remote Branches are responding slow as the Main SQL server is located at corporate head office. So, I am thinking out my thing to give Highest Priority to the SQL traffic on my router at Remote & corporate office...Please suggest & also is there any better way to overcome of this issue?

Thanks

Vishal

Priority would only help if there bandwidth congestion and SQL is being delayed by it. What's the physical topology between HQ and branches, and what QoS, if any, is currently configured?

If SQL is adverse to distance latency, solutions include using some type of WAN caching/acceleration device or perhaps database replication at the branch.
