Is it possible to stack between two 3550 or any combination of cisco switches?for eg 2950 or 2960g

2950, 2960 and 3550 the answer is no. With the 3560 and 3560-E you can stack with a SFP Interconnect Cable. Check out the datasheet for more information.

Also the 3750 and 3750-E support stacking and use a different technology (StackWise Plus). You can read about it on the 3750 datasheet.
