Hello, I was looking at the config on the equipment with vrrp applied, and I saw a config called "timer 200 force" and I need to explain what this means.

Hello @sjrcoel

The "force" keyword is used to forcefully set the timer interval to the specified value (200 milliseconds, in this case). It overrides any default or dynamically calculated timer values.

So, the configuration "timer 200 force" sets the VRRP advertisement timer interval to 200 milliseconds and enforces this setting, ensuring that the VRRP routers use this specific timer value for their communication.

Best regards
