Hi there,

Can someone explain the difference between the following commands:

1. ip route 10.0.0.0/24 10.1.1.1 vrf TEST-vrf1

2. vrf context TEST-vrf1

ip route 10.0.0.0/24 10.1.1.1

Thanks.

Frank

Hi

They are basically the same thing. Using the static route within vrf context you can have a static route with a next hop associated to another vrf if you go into vrf context and type in ip route x.x.x.x/x x.x.x.x vrf xxxx (leaking).

Thanks
Francesco
