WAN aggregation switch recommendation

Hi all - looking for a recommendation on switches to aggregate a number of WAN links. There could eventually be 15 or 20 layer 2 point to point links via dark fibres connected at 1Gbps (although they will get nowhere near this speed). Switches will need to be Layer 3 capable as I was thinking each link would be point to point routed between the switch and the branch office routers.

Then 2 x 10 Gbps uplinks (also routed) back to the main campus where they will land on network core. Need to support MPLS also. They will probably function as P switches as I can't see a need to break out vrf's at what will just be transit location.

Have used 6504's for this type of thing previously. Any feedback or experience appreciated. Thanks

Do you need NAT support?

If not, then we are using ME-3800X.  It's a 24-port optical switch with two ports able to support SFP/SFP+.

It does everything you're looking for except NAT.

IOS is stable (as long as you don't stick to the "one and only" version they come with).

Thanks I'll have a look at the spec, not one I'd considered. Dont need any NAT

Another candidate, if you've been happy with the 6504, might be something like a 6840.

Also the 4500-X might be a candidate too.

Thanks - yes I agree, I was thinking 6832-X maybe
