Hello ,

Could you help to answer my below queries ?

1)  If we have multiple DTLS connections to V-smart then over which control connection OMP Peering will formed ?

2)  How V-edge select single transport out of multiple transport to form single control connection to V-manage ?

Thanks

Yash

Hi Yash -

OMP Session is for the device. It is not per TLOC. We use an internal hashing to pick a TLOC.

vEdge does the same thing based on the hashing to form a control with vManage when multiple TLOCs are available.
In the newer/recent code, there is a vManage Connection preference for given TLOC under the Tunnel interface.

Hope it answers your questions.

Thank you so much mate for your prompt help. Yes This is very helpful.

Actually I dint find any article or documents on OMP internal working so that's why I was curious .

Again Thank you so much.

No problem. Meant to say that OMP like BGP, in the sense, BGP Peering is per neighbor / node. Same with OMP. OMP peering is per node/neighbor.
