Licensing of Secure Access

Hi, I am wondering how's the licensing of secure access? Is it per device or per user? If per user, does zta, vpn, and roaming device included in 1 license? What if I have multiple devices? For example, should include umbrella module per each device?

Another is thing is that, how about IOT devices, servers, or even printers that needs to be protected, how's the licensing?

Hi, licensing is per seat, which is essentially a user, no matter how many devices they have. You can purchase seats for internet access, private access, or both. A seat covers a user up to 20 GB of throughput per month. 

Depending on the ratio of IOT devices and servers to users, the usage from those devices may be covered by the seats you purchased for your users. If the traffic from non-user devices is very high you may need to purchase a few extra seats to cover it.

if per seat, for secure internet access, or in the Umbrella part the licensing is per device as far as I remember. So for example, I have 10 license for roaming, if I have 11 devices that need to installed roaming module, the license should be 11?I have noticed it in the customer that as they added roaming devices the number of seat also added
