Introduction

ACS for Windows displays the "Database file cannot be read into memory" error message.

Core issue

The error message appears when there is no sufficient space available.

An occurrence of this error message can be seen while configuring users, when there is no sufficient disk space.

Resolution

In order to resolve the issue:

ACS Error - Database file cannot be read into memory—This error occurs when the disk space on the server is exhausted. In order to resolve this error, free additional disk space on the server. 

System Requirements

The computer running Cisco Secure ACS 3.x must meet the minimum hardware and software requirements detailed in the following sections.

Hardware Requirements
The computer running Cisco Secure ACS must meet the following minimum hardware requirements:

  • Pentium III processor, 550 MHz or faster.
  • 256 MB of RAM.
  • At least 250 MB of free disk space. If you are running your database on the same computer, more disk space is required.
  • Minimum graphics resolution of 256 colors at 800 x 600 lines.

Cisco Secure ACS 4.x

Hardware Requirements

The computer running ACS Remote Agent for Windows must contain:
•Pentium III processor, 550 MHz or faster.
•256 MB of RAM.
•At least 250 MB of free disk space.
