Core issue

The CiscoSecure ACS folder appears to be locked by another application error message is received when these files are seen under Program Files in the CiscoSecure ACS for Windows folder, during the upgrade process:

  • CSAuth
  • CSLog
  • CSDbsyn
  • CSAdmin
  • CSRadius
  • CSTacacs
  • CSMon

Resolution

Complete these steps in order to remove the error message and continue with the upgrade:

1. On the local drive of the Windows server, where the CiscoSecure ACS for Windows is installed, select Program Files > Cisco Secure ACS folder.

2.  Delete all of the logs under each of these folders:

  • CSAuth
  • CSLog
  • CSDbsync
  • CSAdmin
  • CSRadius
  • CSTacacs
  • CSMon

3.  Restart the PC.

Ideally, the upgrade process works now.
