The get http error return code 404 error is generated because the Intrusion Detection System [IDS] Event Viewer (IEV) version 5.1(1) supports only 5.0, 5.1, and 6.0 sensors. It does not support 4.x or 3.x sensors.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, perform these steps:

1. Verify that the host IP has IEV installed.
   
   
2. Make sure you can browse to the Intrusion Detection System Module (IDSM2) from the same machine where the IEV is installed.
   
   
3. Issue the tls trusted host command, in global configuration mode, for the host from which the IDS must be accessed.
   
   For example:
   
   tls trusted-host  < ip-address >
   
   
4. Use IEV 4.1 instead of 5.1
