We are looking to catalog a few software images per device, but because we can't filter in the initial GET we are pulling all of the compatible and suggested released by MDF ID. Each call takes about 1.75 seconds and in some cases we will have up to 6 pages of results. When you factor in the other API calls we need to make to the Cisco API just to get to that point, the entire application takes about 20 seconds to run when running well, 30+ seconds when the Cisco API is slower. We have thousands of devices under management = 4+ hours of compute time running these queries.
Is there a better optimization strategy or are there some hidden options I can submit to the API call to limit (or even order) the result? Can I override the pagination and get more results per page to limit the API calls?
