CIMC Malfunction (DNAC)

JB22
Level 1
Level 1

Hello, I am trying to connect to cimc via https. The user/pass combination works perfectly with ssh. I get this error message via the web GUI. There is definitely power! ssh is running at the same time. Thanks

🙂

FW in the middle is blocking HTTPs?
or disabled HTTPS access on the CIMC (Admin > Communication Services or Network > Services depending on firmware version)?

Thanks for your answer! 🙂

No FW inside.

https is on (portscan and Website is running). ... As long as i do not access cimc i can not change it. But it is available.

https of cimc & dnac ui are different things
check with cimc cli
Server# scope cimc
Server /cimc # scope http

Hi 🙂

I know. I’m trying to access the CIMC. Both services (DNAC and CIMC) are definitely running. The error message is incorrect.

There is no option "http" or "https"...

/cimc # scope
adapter-secure-update enable/disable/show adapter security version check
firmware Cisco IMC firmware management
import-export Import or export Cisco IMC configuration
log Cisco IMC trace log/syslog
network Cisco IMC Networking Management
power-restore-policy Power Restore Policy parameters
remote-management Cisco IMC Remote Management
tech-support Gather and upload technical support information

II performed a factory default reset of the CIMC. This definitely worked, without any doubt. However, the situation afterward is exactly the same as before, including the identical error message.

I would like update the cimc firmware by using ssh. Any ideas where to get the actual firmware?

Hi,

You need a Cisco account with appropriate rights / support contract to download the firmware, latest recommended version for your gear being: https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286281345/type/283850974/release/4.1(2m)

Upgrade guide can be found here:

Good luck,

Cristian.
