Would like to ask, in 2.1.2.4, how many layer-2 only virtual networks are supported?

It seems 128VNs are BU validated number? Would like to know is there any different between L3VNI and L2 VNI for the supported VNs count? i.e. the 128VNs is based on combined L3 and L2 VNI?
Would also like to know qre the switches referred in the Datasheet edge nodes? Are there any limitation on control/border nodes? Thank you.
