Hi,
I am very new in SDA and I am trying to understand every Cisco documents or Cisco Live that I saw but I still can't understand why in SDA Multisite design the Data Center/Shared Services is always connected to the fabric site or to a campus site like in the image that I attached. In the perspective of the other fabric sites, why should I traverse to the fabric site 1 if I wanted to go to DC which is not a good design, it would be better if all sites can go directly to DC/Shared Services.
Can I just connect my DC/Shared Services to my private circuit/WAN like in the image and include a Border Node so that it can participate with the SDA-Transit?
Thanks

Hey fatalXerror,
I think i got your point. The short answer is: yes you can use a dedicated set of Border Nodes and place them into the Datacenter. From there you can use MP-BGP to the DC-Core.
Regarding the Topology you attached:
It is not really traversing site one. You just use one pair of borders for the reachability to site 1 and the Datacenter. It really depends on your physical infrastrucure. Often times the Datacenter is on the HQ Site, which have a own pair of boarder. So why not using it for both. But if the DC is on a seperate location and no campus network is on that site, a dedicated pair of border Nodeswould be a great solution.

just try to think about leftmost Fabric Site connecting to the DC via its pair of BNs as of that custom site with only 2 BNs u've drawn in violet :0)
