Hi,

At present Iam developing an application where I have to discover the various SAN attached storage devices like HBA,RAID,Storage Library etc.Iam sure the whole process is not achievable using SLP.

please say me, is there any specific type of protocol for handling the remote or local monitoring of SAN attached devices using the subnet address.

Finding out about other devices in the SAN is done over fibre channel via querying the name service. However, the nameservice will only tell a device querying it about devices the querying device is zoned in with.
