Can not create a FCID persistent reservation with a port greater than 00

Im going nuts here. I am staging new hardware to replace old (stacked 9134s @ 4.2(3) to replace 9216i @ 3.1(3a))

I want to maintain FCID <-> pWWN relationships. I've created a vsan on the new hardware with the same domain ID as the old hardware. I can not create reservation for an FCID with a port number other than 00.

so,

from config t -> fcdomain fcid database,

vsan 200 wwn 11:22:33:44:55:66:77:88 fcid 0x390500

works fine,

vsan 200 wwn 11:22:33:44:11:22:33:44 fcid 0x390501

generates an error "Error: Invalid FCIDs."

Domain IDs are correct, there are no other reservation in the same area masked as area..

I am out of ideas..

Thanks for the help! It did not get my past my road-block. Here is what I got:

Any additional thoughts would be appreciated.

What model MDS are you trying to configure the non 00 in the last byte of the FCID?  The 9124, 9134, and 9148 do not support any thing but 00 in the last FCID byte.

If it's a differnt model let me know.
