Cisco MDS ISL setup

We have 2 Cisco 9396 FC switches. We want to create one fabric across both switches and have the ability to zones across both switches.  What steps would we follow to accomplish this?

Most likely you want a trunking (running multiple VSAN) ISL plus preferably a port channel between the 2 MDS.
