If you have ran into defect CSCwi84017, I would recommend opening a service request with Cisco TAC.  This defect wasn't reproducible in our lab.  We would gladly partner with you in identifying the cause and work on providing a workaround or solution.

  • It would be helpful for you to document the steps taken to reproduce this issue.
  • Making sure to include the NX-OS release
  • Hardware type(s)
  • System features enabled on the switch
  • Does this happen across multiple switches, or just a single switch of many?

Regards,
-Jason

I would but I got this switch from HPE.

Just to let you know, HPE has contract with Cisco TAC and if they have issues or upon customer request, they are able to contact Cisco and we can help resolve your issue.

I'm still curious, about the following:

  • Making sure to include the NX-OS release

I don't know how to reproduce this error. I setup about 18 of these brand new and only ran into this issue on one of them. I did have various issues with different ones when I received them and I have the same configuration on all of them except the IP and hostname. For instance after an upgrade for some reason it didn't save the configuration and when it got deployed in production it was missing management configuration. One that really bugs me is that I had issue where it would not let me save anything to the disk. I had to reboot the system. I think it was about three of them that had this issue.
