Hello,

Is it possible to utilize NON-Cisco labeled SSD's in the B200 M5 or are Cisco labeled drives a requirement?

Thank you

Using non-Cisco part IDs is not supported by TAC.

This doesn't mean you can't open a case for a bad PSU, or DIMM, etc.

Would mean any cases you do open relating to storage, are probably going to result in requests to utilize supported drives, before moving further.

3rd Party drive considerations:

  • You won't have the drive sleds to correctly insert them.
  • SAS/raid controlller firmware is expecting range of specific MFG part IDs/Cisco PIDs.

Thanks,

Kirk...
