Please help to resolve the following

MDS-9513 switch sends DNS requests to unconfigured hosts

The MDS switch has been sending DNS queries to old DNS servers. These servers have been removed from configuration and new addresses have been provided.

Hi Chetan,

This is apparently exact text of case that I opened with EMC a day ago

Folks, We configured new DNS servers on switches and removed old DNS servers. The switch still sends DNS queries to old DNS servers when we try to resolve a name from CLI.

output of "show hosts" confirms that the old servers are not present and the switch is aware of new DNS server entries.

Its caused due to Cisco Bug ID: CSCts72250, has been fixed already in the 4.2(7x) release
