Do I need the Fabric Management software to configure the FC & FCoE features on the N5K?

Can I use the unlicensed version, if I just have (2) N5K's in a cluster?

Do I still need to install the database, if I don't use the Performance Monitor?

You can use the standalone version or the command line without a license.

yes, you do. If you want to use the server version. There is another option, called "standalone", to pick during the installation. It was free as I know.
