Current 5548P Q&A document (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps9441/ps9670/qa_c67-618605.pdf) claims 16 Unified Ports will be offered via an expansion module targeted for Q1CY11. The problem is I already have installed an extension module which has 8 port 1/10G ETH and 8 port native FC, so I'd like to know if this 8ETH/8FC module is capable of firmware upgrade to unified port module when it is available. Thanks.
Unfortunetly not, unified ports will only be available on the unified module, due to architecture differences.
