no more emails send from Fabric Manager

Hello,

We have two Fabric Manager Servers, both of them don't send email alerts to EMC² anymore.

Server.properties are OK. (didn't change)

Telnet to our mail servers with port 25 is OK from both fabric managers.

FM version is 4.2(1b) and 4.2(7b)

When I create a test trap:     test pfm snmp test-trap powersupply    the trap appears in events on both fabric managers but no mail is send accordingly

Our network people made the following observation:

At EMC² Powerlink a Service Request was made: 39369684 (22 February 2011)

What goes wrong here?

Ivy

When we had this issue, it was the SMTP name and the DNS servers IP Address had changed. What error do you get when you do a test from FM for Call Home?

Hello Dynamoxxx,

Thanks to the document you posted I observed no XML files in the logs when an test event is created!

I am now persuing why there are no XML files...

Thank you for your help,

Ivy

Hello,
After searching for many weeks the emailalert@emc.com mailing problem is solved!
The problem was in the server.properties file
No longer XML files were produced to email.
There was a reference to a XML folder in stead of logs folder!

pdf document received via Cisco support forum: https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2075977?tstart=0

Cisco knows the problem (Kris Vandecruys). (there is a known case).

Fabric Manager sa005265 (CCM) mails now to emailalert@emc.com
Fabric Manager sa005266 (CCL) mails now to cms.storage@kbc.be

EMC² Powerlink Service Request 39369684 can be closed.
Rgds,
Ivy
