Dear Cisco Community,
I have an old Cisco NSS322 V01 that currently has 1TB drives installed. I would like to upgrade the unit to a pair of 2TB drives. I found a historical document that listed compatible drives, but they are all obsolete. I would like to try a pair of WD Red NAS Hard Drive WD20EFAX - 2 TB - SATA 6Gb/s. Are these drives compatible with my unit?
Thanks,
Ken

"If you are using an external USB or eSATA drive or enclosure
that is not on the AVL list, you may be able to read and write to it but for complete
feature support and long term data integrity, we recommend a drive or enclosure
that has been fully tested and approved"
Also, there is some chatter on internet about SMR drive technology and existing raid arrays for Red Drives.
