Port channel question

It's been awhile since I have done this. I added to new ISLs to the current fabric, no hosts connected yet. When I try to create the port channel in DCNM, I get a pop up window detailing this action is disruptive. Is the disruption only on the new switch or also to the 9509 director it's attached to?

This is expected behavior. When you add ISL to port-channel, it will tell you that it is disruptive. You config it with CLI, the same thing happens. This interruption only affects the port-channel you just configured and it's transient. As you said, no hosts connect yet, then no need to worry much about the interruption.
