Hi all,

After a planned power outage our mds 9513 started with one of the supervisor module (module 8) like this:

Mod       Ports     Module-Type                                 Model                            Status
---           -----      -----------------------------------        ------------------                    ----------
1             24         1/2/4 Gbps FC Module           DS-X9124                            ok
2             24         1/2/4 Gbps FC Module           DS-X9124 ok
3             48         1/2/4 Gbps FC Module           DS-X9148 ok
4             48         1/2/4 Gbps FC Module           DS-X9148 ok
5             48         1/2/4 Gbps FC Module           DS-X9148 ok
6             48         1/2/4 Gbps FC Module           DS-X9148 ok
7             0           Supervisor/Fabric-2             DS-X9530-SF2-K9          active *
8             0           Supervisor/Fabric-2                                                      powered-up
9             48         1/2/4 Gbps FC Module           DS-X9148 ok
10           24         1/2/4 Gbps FC Module           DS-X9124 ok
11           24         1/2/4 Gbps FC Module           DS-X9124 ok

And constantly we have this events:

.....

2017 Feb 8 14:29:42 CNA252040RSAN %SYSMGR-2-STANDBY_BOOT_FAILED: Standby supervisor failed to boot up.

........

We thought that maybe it was a problem in the supervisor module and our hardware service replace it but we continues with the same problem.

Also if I launch this:

CNA252040RSAN# show system redundancy status

Redundancy mode
---------------
administrative: HA
operational: None

This supervisor (sup-1)
-----------------------
Redundancy state: Active
Supervisor state: Active
Internal state: Active with no standby

Other supervisor (sup-2)
------------------------
Redundancy state: Not present

or this:

CNA252040RSAN# attach module 8
module 8 is not present

Please, somebody knows what happens?

What could we do?

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

Finally after a couple of module supervisor replacement all is working well.

We think the first replace spare part was DOA.

Again, Thanks for your help.
