From LAN core, I need to connect two access switches 4507.
After installing the links between Core and access is not coming up.
On Access switches, we are using sfp 10g sr.
On Core switches we have X2-10G-LRM.
Unfortunately, we do not have any slot in Core switches to put sfp 10g sr.
We tried like below-
Interconnected two new switches, it works.
We can't change modules on Core, so we will need different SFPs for access switches.
To me, it looks like SFP compatibility issues.
Went through the below link, however yet to be sure on choosing SFPs for access switches.

We are getting error SFF8472-5-THRESHOLD_VIOLATION: Te3/1: Rx power low alarm; Operating value: -40.0 dBm, Threshold value: -13.9 dBm

If you do a show interface x/x transceiver it will show you the type. If you have a transceiver either X2 or SFP it should still show up.
I would bounce the interface after the transceiver is installed. I've done this many times before.
Now if you have a SR on one end and a LRM on the other end, that will not work.
Hope this helps.
