We recently upgraded several UCS C220 rackmount servers with QLogic (Brocade) 1860-2 HBA\CNA. As part of our prep we downloaded the latest drivers from the QLogic website and installed them onto the C220's.
Of the 9 servers only one recognized the HBA\CNA.
The 1860-2 appears during the boot process (of the 8 errant C220's), but are not listed under storage adapters (configuration tab) in ESXi.
- We tried rebooting
- We tried powering off and re-seating the HBA\CNA
Any ideas why one of the C220's would recognize the 1860-2 HBA\CNA?
FYI: Each C220 has a mezzanine hardware LSI RAID controller
