Hello,

I'm looking for a particular style of stencil that I have found but cannot find the same type on Cisco's website.  Do anyone know where I might find this type of image?

Hi Justin,

Thanks for your post and inquiry about the voice router icon. We researched the icon you shared with us and this particular color and style was from the "Packet" magazine icon set that was discontinued when the magazine ceased publication.

Even though the icons with this particular color and style aren't available, the voice router icon is contained in all icon depositiories available from the Network Topology Icon site at: http://www.cisco.com/web/about/ac50/ac47/2.html. In the second section (Icons as Microsoft Visio Stencils heading) you'll find the icon available in PMS 3015, black and white, and grayscale.

Here's the link to the PMS 3015 vss file: http://www.cisco.com/web/about/ac50/ac47/3015VSS.zip.

Thanks again for your inquiry regarding this icon. I'll also send your feedback to the team that supports the Network Topology Icon site as well.

Thanks,

Janel Kratky

Hi Justin,

I just gave you the highest rating! Thanks for your reply with the link. I'm glad to hear that you located the icons you were searching for and will relay the information to the supporting team. Looks like the images are current as of June, 2004 and they aren't supported or updated.

I'm just curious (and will communicate this to the supporting team) if there is a reason why you prefer these icons over the others available. Any insight you can provide is appreciated.

Thanks,
Janel

Thanks Janel, I have rated your posts and solved the case

The reason I use these icon's over the others is due to the nicer styling to the icons.  The gradient looks much better in documentation compared to the other type of icon's.

I really don't understand why these were discontinued as they are the best icon's Cisco has made :

Thanks and please relay my opinion's to the proper group/dept. I would love to see these updated and resupported.

Justin

Great and I appreciate the rating!

Also appreciate the details and will be sure the information is communicated to the team.

Thanks again,

Janel

If you don’t find the specified Visio stencils, you can create it by using Visio in the following way

1. On the File menu, point to Shapes, and then click New Stencil.
2. To save the stencil, right-click the stencil title bar, and then click Save.
3. Type a name for your stencil, and then click Save.
