How to get exisitng 1142N to join new 5760 WLAN controller

Hi,I have an exisitng 1142N ap and WISM1 WLAN setup and would like to get the 1142N associated with a newly installed 5706 WLAN controller. I have moved an 1142 to the same vlan and can ping it from the 5760 but it is not attempting to join the 5760....
