How to get exisitng 1142N to join new 5760 WLAN controller

Hi,
I have an exisitng 1142N ap and WISM1 WLAN setup and would like to get the 1142N associated with a newly installed 5706 WLAN controller. 

I have moved an 1142 to the same vlan and can ping it from the 5760 but it is not attempting to join the 5760.

Any ideas ?

if 1142 go & register to your WiSM1 then you can do the below.

Go to WiSM-WLC GUI & select the 1142 AP. Under high availability tab configure your 5760 name & IP address as primary controller. Put WISM name & IP as secondary controller. Then see whether it goes & register to your 5760
