Using a /31 would be interesting. These are brand-new 4510R+E switches here at the main site, so they should be able, but I don't know about at the DR site on the other end of the p2p. Thanks for the suggestion, Joseph.

I did not have the ability to enter terminal monitor anywhere. In Global Config, I entered:logging console 7logging monitor 7 ...and that seemed to have done the trick. Thank you for your help.
