I ran into some trouble with a newly bought ASA 5506xSomehow I think the SFR module got corrupted.
It doesn't finish booting anymore.
I do get some neat debug messages like this:
Mod-sfr 330> ***Mod-sfr 331> *** EVENT: The module is b...
I thought as much, nobody thinks of this, because it's just not logical.Somehow they are unable to route the traffic through the backplane.
Btw. Sourcefire as such has quite some issues.
I can't manage it with ASDM over Windows 10, but Windows 7 work...
Sorry if I didn't make myself clear:
1. Upgrade the 5510 to 9.4(1) (have a look at upgrade path for that, don't direct upgrade)2. Backup config, and everything else3. Restore config on your new 5508
At least that is the only way I can think of right ...

What is your setup?Are both Management Interface and at least one Inside interface connected to the same VLAN?

Is there a possibility of Upgrading the 5510 to 9.4(1)?If so I'd do that, since the ASA should automatically convert the config.
Alternatively you could try downgrading the 5508 and then upgrading again?
