i want to know that what can be causes for congestion in LAN using TCP/IP ,the exact situation is that gateway is dropping the packets and connection is lost.so what can be causes & what can be solution to this

hi, the first thing is what strategy u r using for ip assignment? & which O.S u r working with ?if u r using dhcp & server is configured on linux than u can get list of assigned ip addresses in /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases
