After looking at the links you provided, would this work better to block anybody trying to connect to the cisco router?interface Serial 0ip access-group 100 inaccess-list 100 deny ip any host 204.246.200.XX1

Can you point me to where the documentation is for this command. I cannot seem to find it anywhere in the configuration guides.

Thanks Rick! This fixed it:ip route 208.49.53.XX1 255.255.255.255 fastEthernet 0I can now ping from my Linux box to the cisco router and also the internet.
