I would say if the VLANs overlap multiple distribution switches then routing has to be done at the core.

I would love to find that too.A few of points IMHOBudget decision, chassis usually more expensive.Chassis a better option depending on your network groth needs.I ve heard Chassis, less power consumption.Sami
