You can't connect directly 2950 with 1900 using trunk because 2950 supports only dot1q, while 1900 supports only ISL.You could place a switch that supports both encapsulations between 2950 and 1900. For example 2900XL-A/-EN, 3500XL, 3550, 3560, 3750....
