This is true, pings only do work with static IPs. But the problem is that I can't even set a static IP since I'm unable to set up custom default gateway on the WEBCAM since PT "will use the default gateway of the fastest functional port".

All of the devices have correct default gateways, default gateways for WEBCAM1 and AU1PCs match, just like default gateways for WEBCAM2 and AU2PCs do.It's a generic Router-PT router. Can this choice influence the behavior of connected devices?
