I should have rebooted at this point to check, I am now in the initial configuration dialog. Problem solved. Thank you for the help!

OK so I ran this process and received an error on the second command as the file is read only. The switch booted to the SWITCH> command prompt where I was able to enter EN mode. I don't know where to go from here.

The switch brings me to the previous owner's password-protected login screen at the completion of the boot when I run the sequence you provided.
