HiI have got stand alone 2950 switch and a few multicast sources and receivers connected to it. I enabled IGMP Snooping, but it seems that the multicast traffic is flooded to all ports. The configuration is as follows:IGMP Snooping enabledIGMP filter...
Hi I have been asked to configure multicasting for a network containing one stack (two 3750e emi) and tree 2960G switches in the following configuration and :3750(stack)--2960--2960--29603750 will be configured with PIM to route multicast traffic. Al...
Hi I have a few 2960G switches connected into a ring topology with 3750E (EMI) stack. The 2960G switches are configured with 2 vlans. There are some multicast sources that must be connected to 2960G switches and the hosts receiving multicast traffic ...
Hi I have two 3750E switches one with enhanced image and one with standard. I would like to put them on a stack. According to Cisco this configuration is supported. Has anyone had practical experience? Thanks for any comments
Hi AllI have 7 x 2960G switches and 2 x 3750e switches. The switches must be connected into a ring for redundancy purposes. The diagram is as follows:1-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-1|_______________|1 = 3750E2 = 2960GThe 2960G switches will belong to the same vlan....
Thank you for the post. I have no experience with multicast. This switch is stand alone. With the configuration described in the first post the switch doesn't learn multicast group dynamically. The only time when the switch performs IGMP snooping is ...
HiThe future expansion requires adding the second 3750E and connecting them by stackwise cables. So there will be two stacks, each including two 3750E. The distance between these two stacks is 1.2km on SM fibre.
AndyThe distances between switches are about 600 - 800m. That's why that kind of topology will be implemented.I can configure four of the 2960G switches with Vlan 10 and the last tree with Vlan 20. All links will be configured as trunks. Cisco 3750E ...
