for anyone seeing this at a later time dont vlan tag the interface going to the switch in the GUI. I can now ping my APs and the WLC to and from, still having an issue with the AP joining but were working on it

Doesn't seem to be a speed mismatch, i plugged in a gig sfp so now its gig to gig and still same issue the WLC does show finally in CDP neighbors last night i couldn't see it in CDP neighbors when plugged into fa0/7 or fa0/11. but still no ping respo...
