VTP is a Cisco proprietary protocol. Allows switches to propergate VLAN database. ISL and Dot1q are trunking/tagging protocols. ISL and dot1q are completely different. Dont get confused

You can use a route policy or a linux box running squid. Their are probably other server apps that would do the job.I think - WCCP will only transparently redirect port 80 traffic and WCCP is also used for for traffic shaping non transparently proxie...

I found out I can only redirect transparenly HTTP and Real-Time Streaming Protocol traffic but I would still like to know the advantages of redirecting https traffic?
