I need some quick direcion on transperent caching limitations.
What is the advantages to tunneling HTTPS traffic through a content engine? I know you can do this if the content engine is set up in proxy mode but what about transparent proxy mode:
1. Can I transparently tunnel https/ssl through our content engine using WCCP at the edge (without configuring the clients)?
2. If I can what commands on the wccp edge router and ACNS content engine will I need?
3. Can I transparently cache other protocols such as ftp through the content engine using WCCP?
Any direction will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason

I found out I can only redirect transparenly HTTP and Real-Time Streaming Protocol traffic but I would still like to know the advantages of redirecting https traffic?

Jason,
I have configured all of the above with my ACNS 5.2 deployment - http, https, ftp via WCCP v2. It is fairly easy.
